Own Less, Love it More
When we launched Field in 2016, we weren’t trying to start a cookware company—we just wanted a better cast iron skillet. What we found along the way was something more meaningful: a community of folks, like us, seeking a deeper connection to the things they own.

Most modern cast iron is heavy and rough—sold "as cast" to save on costs. Field skillets are machined smooth, modeled on the best vintage cookware—thinner walls, less weight, and a surface that builds great seasoning fast.
It's how cast iron used to be made, done even better.
Yes—all of our cast iron products work on induction. Cast iron is naturally magnetic, which is exactly what induction cooktops require (even if the bottom of the pan doesn't have full contact). You are also welcome to try the pan for 45 days with your own stove to make sure it's right for you.
Every Field skillet comes ready to cook, pre-seasoned with several coats of organic oil. The nonstick surface only gets better the more you cook and will continue to develop seasoning from the oils you cook with.
Field Skillets are named after vintage cast iron naming conventions, meaning the No.8 Field Skillet is actually 10.25 inches.
If you're shopping for your every day pan, we would recommend our two most popular skillets:
No.8 Skillet, best for 1-3 people
No.10 Skillet, best for 2-5 people
