How to Use

  1. Rinse out pan and remove loose food with brush

  2. Use chain mail scrubber to dislodge any remaining gunk and gently scuff cooking surface and side walls

  3. Heat pan on stovetop to evaporate moisture

  4. If necessary, wipe up remaining moisture with a paper towel

  5. Apply a dab (about ¼ tsp) of Seasoning Oil. Use a paper towel or cloth rag to rub over all surfaces of the pan, inside and out

  6. Wipe away excess oil to leave a dry, matte finish

Great but the cracks are no joke

The brush itself works great, but it cracked in a few areas around the brush within the first week. While I expected a crack or two in time, I didn't expect three in mere days. So far the brush has not cracked any further and the bristles are working fine. I do worry that the cracks will deepen and release bristles, or that more cracks appear. If it does not crack any further then I expect this brush to last a long time.

Hi James. Cracking along the handle is normal for our natural fiber brushes, and should not affect the functionality of the brush. If the bristles do start to come out, please email help@fieldcompany.com and we'll get you a replacement! Since these brushes are made with untreated wood, they will swell when wet, and then may crack as they shrink and dry. This was a decision on our part to use natural materials that would break down in the landfill, rather than plastic.

    An Effective Cleaning Option

Just purchased but am pleased with its effectiveness so far. My adult son swears by his and claims the combo of the chain mail, scrubber and seasoning oil is perfection.

The stiffness of the bristles is substantial and makes quick work of sticky bits.
