The Field Method

  1. Rinse your pan with warm water and use a brush to remove loose food. Soap is optional!

  2. Use chain mail scrubber to dislodge any remaining gunk and gently scuff cooking surface and side walls.

  3. Heat your pan on the stovetop for a few minutes to evaporate moisture. If necessary, wipe up remaining moisture with a paper towel.

  4. Apply a small dab of seasoning oil. Use a paper towel or rag to evenly coat all surfaces of the pan.

  5. Wipe away excess oil to leave a dry, matte finish.

Works great. Also use it on my carbon steel frying pans!

    Recommend beyond any other option!!

The seasoning oil compound is amazing. A little dab OSof all that’s needed. Much better than straight oil. I’ve purchased pots of it as gifts for my friends. They agree!!

    Amazing

I have spent so much time, money and effort into cast iron seasoning so was reluctant to try another product. I bought my first tin and I will tell you it has been a game changer. This products works even on a competitors skillet. It is the only seasoning oil I use and I recommend it to any one for nonstick coating on your cast iron cookware.

    Best Seasoning Oil I've found

I have tried several other seasoning oil from other manufacturers. I have more than a few cast iron items that I use this Seasoning Oil on. Since I started using the Field seasoning oil, I have been getting better results with my cast iron. The Seasoning Oil has made an improvement and I would recommend giving it a try. I think you will be pleased with the results!

    Seasoning is worth it

The cast iron seasoning oil keeps skillet nice. Like it much better than olive oil.
