Yes—all cast iron skillets, including chef skillets, work on induction. Cast iron is naturally magnetic, which is exactly what induction cooktops require (even if the bottom of the pan doesn't have full contact).

Yes—ready to cook right out of the box. Every pan arrives with several coats of organic oil seasoning. No chemical coatings, no PFAS of any kinda.

The nonstick surface only gets better the more you cook and will continue to develop from the oils you cook with.

Most modern cast iron is heavy and rough—sold "as cast" to save on costs. Field skillets are machined smooth, modeled on the best vintage cookware—thinner walls, less weight, and a surface that builds great seasoning fast. It's how cast iron used to be made, done even better.

    Very nice skillet

I was a little nervous about ordering this small of a fry pan. However, my fears were laid to rest when I received it and started using it. It is just right for one serving. Excellent for one or two eggs. Sometimes I make an egg casserole with hashbrowns for the crust and then an egg filling and put it in the oven to bake. This pan is just right for that purpose. Wonderful, smooth finish. I’m sure it will last me forever. I truly am a believer in cast-iron. I have tried other kinds of pans, but always come back to cast-iron. This pan is a little lighter in weight than a lot of my other small pans, which is a plus for me. Cooks beautifully.

    Well Done!

Very good insulator. Good grip on handle. Well crafted using good materials. Should consider making some hot pads slightly larger than the circumference of the pan bottoms for hot pan placement during switch overs.

    Works well, fits tight

Every piece should get a leather handle cover.

If you’re cooking with 2 pans, you have to swap it over so you don’t burn yourself.

    Not well thought out

    #5 Skillet

Great little skillet. Finding out that I'm using it for much more than just eggs.
