- Pauline E.Verified BuyerReviewingNo.8 Cast Iron Skillet #8 - 10 1/4"I recommend this productWhat type of stovetop do you primarily use with your cast iron?? GasRated 5 out of 5 stars1 week agoMy 1st Field experience
My review is of my current No8 skillet. I've intentionally tested it cooking on my professional gas range top, as well as for baking and roasting in the oven. The good news is it performed well in all uses! After many uses, it still looks new! Though I own lots of high quality cast iron skillets and griddles, I ordered a Field to trial a lighter weight version. As I age, I feel the heft of moving a filled skillet from stove top to oven more and more. I thought it was worth trialing a Field to see if it would perform as well as my beloved, many inherited, pans. I will definitely be investing in a few more from Field.
I want to mention what I consider a great customer service encounter I had with Field. Unfortunately, my initial skillet turned out to have a flaw discovered during my initial use. I contacted the provided customer service dept.and viola, they emailed me a free shipping label for the return and promptly shipped a new skillet to me, which arrived in a couple of days of my contacting them. They could not have been nicer, made the return process simple and the replacement exceeds my expectations. What some might interpret as a negative, I saw as commitment to quality and customer satisfaction and they gained a loyal customer who will make more purchases for myself and to gift. In this day and age of only getting AI chat and slow responses that require arduous steps to correct, this was a such refreshing experience. Kudos to the team!

Bought my first Field pan from the kickstarter campaign 10 years ago. Only had to replace it cause it fell off my moving truck and disappeared. Had to replace them. I went with the 8 and 10 bundle and I love this combo!

Every meal, every day, we find ourselves using this skillet. It’s lighter and not only does the finish help provide nonstick properties, I think it also makes it easier to clean and maintain. I debated this purchase far too long.

It would be a solid 5 stars if it had a lip on it for pouring.

Absolutely love this pan! So much lighter than my other cast iron, making it a pleasure to cook.
