Factory Second Brushes may have one or more cosmetic defects, but perform just as well as first-quality utensils. This was an older version of our Natural Fiber Brush with a smaller head. 

2.5-inch kitchen brush with unfinished beech wood handle and stiff natural union fiber bristles well-suited to cleaning cast iron cookware. Beech wood handle provides firm grip for easy maneuverability while scrubbing pan walls and exterior surfaces.

 Made in Germany, from fully biodegradable and compostable materials.

How to Use

  1. Rinse out pan and remove loose food with brush

  2. Use chain mail scrubber to dislodge any remaining gunk and gently scuff cooking surface and side walls

  3. Heat pan on stovetop to evaporate moisture

  4. If necessary, wipe up remaining moisture with a paper towel

  5. Apply a dab (about ¼ tsp) of Seasoning Oil. Use a paper towel or cloth rag to rub over all surfaces of the pan, inside and out

  6. Wipe away excess oil to leave a dry, matte finish

Wash cast iron cookware with warm water, using the Natural Fiber Brush to remove loose food residue.

Soap up if you want to! Your cast iron can handle it.

Chain Mail Scrubber

Use the stainless steel Chain Mail Scrubber to get rid of stubborn food residue.

Even if your skillet is relatively clean, we recommend gently scuffing the surface and side walls of your skillet, preparing it to accept new and stronger seasoning.

Field Seasoning Oil

Dry your cast iron, then apply a thin coat of Seasoning Oil to all surfaces—including the side walls and bottom.

Even a thin coating will help ensure that you're building new, resilient seasoning every time you heat your skillet. Cook often, and apply after every use!

    Great Cast Iron Scrubber

    This is a really great scrub brush for my cast iron pans. The curved edges get to the edge for a total cleaning. I love it!!
